The first thing to mention about my ranking system is that we do not know the actual ranks that were used (save for a couple of mentions), and we definitely do not know how ranks are symbolised. Believe me, I have spent hours pouring over the uniforms and I do not know it. I do know that it has something to do with collar pins (one or two), possibly the gold strip that some people wear on their chest and above their black and gold braiding, and maybe even the various bits of braiding on their sleeves as well. However, I can not find any regularity for what's been done so please do not use my ranking for what you actually see on the screen, because it does not hold up. Cadet Cree for example, is actually a Lieutenant if you do, which obviously he shouldn't be. Unless he was a Lieutenant from the Fleet who's transfered over to the Warriors? Still do not think that holds up, after all, you would not call him a cadet then would you?

So I do not know how to show ranks. I also do not know their ranking works. We know they have sergeants, colonels and captains, and also a commander (is that an actual rank or status?), but they must have other positions to fill in. So I have tried to guess based on what I have seen and what I know and that is the result. And yes, its more than likely full of holes!

However, what I have done is to try and make a reasonable assumption and used what we have seen for ranks. I have tried to make the various ranks different as I think that you should be able to tell whether you are talking to a Captain or a Lieutenant. If you go by the television series, then Lieutenant Starbuck has the same ranking patterns as Captain Apollo... If you just transfered over, how would you be able to tell?
