The explosive strength of a craft is a space ships final act of destruction. It is necessary to determine the strength of the explosion in case any other unfortunate vessels are nearby, and thus subject to the force of this explosion.

The explosive strength of a ship is based initially on the size of the ship - see the table below. From this value, add up to +50% of the value again if the ship carries missiles. Add some points if cargo or fuel or missile storage is carried, and then add some if a large number of fighter flights are carried.

Colonial explosive strengths vary widely depending on the items being carried (usually starting at the lower to middle values of the table), while Cylon ships tend to have high explosive strengths due to the material carried, more explosive nature of their weapons and larger hangers. Civilian vessels usually have half the lower values.
