Welcome to the New Town! Well, I had to call the site revamp something, and I wanted to do something to try and differentiate this from the earlier Car Wars stuff that I did.

So, what's this about and what will you find here?

At the moment, that's a good interesting question. The New Town is solely for the new 5th Edition Car Wars rules. Everything is so new that there are large blanks, and unfortunately a lot of the blanks mean that I can't do too much for fear of being over written in a new supplements time. As such, the New Town won't get a huge amount of expansions just yet, and anything I do write is subject to being revised at some point in the future - be warned!

Note that while some of this may seem like it's simply re-written from the Old District pages, everything has been revised and updated for the new 5th Edition rules.

In fact, there is one problem with Car Wars, and that is simply this. It's a game that positively encourages modifications, extra equipment, designs and the like. Revamping the game won't stop that, it'll just mean that we'll have to reinvent the wheel getting back to the state it was! Will I be doing articles like Formula One combat racing, Robots, Santa Claus vs. the ACL or Dinosaurs? Only time will tell!

And I just figured it out... Doh! The Car Wars font is the same one that Babylon 5 used, which is the same one that Battlestar Galactica uses!

Wow, am I not really doing Car Wars at the moment...
Still, I've included the Unarmed Combat School, the Library and Henrietta's Bar for the time being. Hopefully I should have some more stuff coming, including the start of the "good stuff"...

	As you enter the Tourist Information Centre, the immediately notice that there are no actual human attendants here. It seems that all the information you might want is stored away on the computers. The Centre itself is quite small, there being only four desks with terminals. Posters on the wall display what the New Town is planned to be like, with lots of colourful artist impressions showing it in a perpetual summer look. Sitting down at an empty terminal, you start using the touch screen to see what the place has to offer.
