An Overview of the Site (5k)
This site is dedicated to the game Car Wars, but it is for the original Car Wars, not the new 5th Edition (as of April 2002 when it was released). Because the new version is now the standard, and because the two games aren't apparently compatible, this site is not being updated anymore, save for formatting tweaks. I've tried to make all the information here as complete as possible - and there is a lot of it - but now my attentions are going to be focused on the 5th Edition, and not the original. I'll keep this site here for as long as it takes, but I'm afraid, don't look for updates.

The site is broken down into various sections, so depending on what you want will depend on which section you'll need to look at.

Two important points:
a: All vehicle designs give 200 lbs. per person for carried equipment.
b: The notion DB for a beings damage is their Damage Bonus.

Creatures:
Taken from the Car Wars:Flesh campaign, this is the updated and expanded set of rules for using animals in a Car Wars game. All aspects of using animals are included here, as are several lists of animals. Note that animals and creatures also means other beings, such as the supernatural and the outer space type...

AquaWars:
Or undersea combat. Also extracted from the Car Wars:Flesh article, this gives a series of rules for conducting combat under the waves. Also included are rules for constructing mini-subs and watersleds, divers and more. For anything to do with the undersea, come here.
Also included is the Crimson Shipyards, where you'll find additional rules, more equipment, more vehicles, more divers and so on. There are lots of clarifications (or rather expansions) to the basic AquaWars rules covering points that I never originally knew would be a problem. At some point I might add them to the basic rules, but not yet!

This section is actually an exception to what I was trying to do, which was to separate everything into their own sections. While I have done that for AquaWars, I have included all the relevant vehicle and pedestrian rules and equipment here as well, so while you can use this stuff for other vehicles, it isn't found in the normal vehicle and pedestrian sections.

Car Wars Flesh
A campaign idea that effectively started off my Car Wars page. It takes you back to the past, where man, in his quest for real meat, has started harvesting dinosaurs.
Due to the re-structure, it has lost several sections (such as AquaWars and the Animal rules), but nothing has been lost from the actual notes and ideas itself.

Mini-Scenarios:
Just what it says, a few silly ideas that I had which I used to test a lot of the vehicles and equipment which you can find on this site. Not expanded upon much, but who knows? Also include the infamous Santa Claus Christmas game...

Pedestrians:
Anything to do with the foot crawlers and swishies can be found here, with the obvious exception of divers and their equipment. See the AquaWars section for that.

Vehicles:
Anything to do with vehicles, be it designs, new types, rules and so on, can be found here. With (you guessed it), a lack of submarine and submarine related equipment. Note though that a lot of the submarine equipment can be used in boats and other vehicles, so you might want to check it out anyway.

An unofficial Car Wars guide to:
Or what used to be called 'The Road Atlas and Survival Guide', until that was noticed to be a breach of copyright, and we don't want that!
This is where I've rewritten the official guide to the UK as it wasn't where I wanted it to go. Enclosed is a guide to the UK, towns, and now organisations and their ilk.

And if you can't find a piece of equipment or vehicle design, then try the new comprehensive index!

Links:
Finally, we have the Vital Links section. Not designed to be comprehensive in the slightest, but this is where all important links and webrings are placed, leaving the front page less cluttered. Hope you don't mind!
