Sometimes you just don't want to carry a huge power pack on your back just to power your trusty laser. Sometimes you already have a backpack and
can't carry that power pack for your gauss rifle, and then what do you do? You get one of our trusty belt power packs have no more worries at all! Simply clips to your belt, and voila! No more worries!
Belt power pack: $1,000, 10 lbs., 1 GE, no handed item. This provides only limited power for energy weapons, but will not be hit by stray gunfire. As it clips on to a belt, the user can wear a backpack as well.
A laser rifle will get 8 shots from this, a gauss rifle 25 shots, and a gauss pistol 40.
Peds always have it bad when it comes to being well protected. You either get the light stuff and carry a flak vest in the hope that it'll protect you, or you get the improved stuff that has all the extra features but slows you down, not something you need when your life is in the balance! So we racked our brains for an answer, and then just ripped all the fancy stuff out of IBA. And the HBA was the result - now you can have heavier armour without the disadvantages!
Heavy body armour (HBA): $1,000, 20 lbs. Gives 5 DP to the wearer, but otherwise functions exactly like normal body armour. Gives no advantages like IBA or Impact armour, but also doesn't give any disadvantages either. Battlevests of flak jackets may not be worn over HBA. It may be made blended at $3,500 and upwards.
Just because you're a ped, it doesn't mean that you can't know what's happening around you, and with this handy little device, you too can turn out to Davey-Jones!
Man portable sonar: $4,000, 70 lbs., 3 GE. Backpack item. Functions in every way like a normal sonar unit, but it only has a range of 650".
Also called a sneak suit in certain areas. Ever wondered how to avoid a radar device when you're out all alone, late at night? Well, worry no longer - now you can be as sneaky as the next man, woman or thing!
Radar suit: $3,000, 5 lbs., 3 GE. No handed item. This functions exactly like normal radar proof armour, but for a person. The suit itself offers no protection and is worn over other equipment. Once a wear is hit and takes damage, then the benefits of the suit are lost (as it gets ripped and torn). Obviously, if the wearer is carrying equipment outside the suit, then it will show up on radar normally. Backpacks can be made from this material at a cost of $2,000, and gun covers are available for the cost of $750 per GE of weapon. Weapons can be fired from within the bag, but it will be torn and be rendered useless at that point.
When you haven't got your car, but you want a drop spike plate capability, try our handy expandable Shredders! With a quick flick of your wrist, this deploys across the road and under someone's tyres - bang!
As used by the British police for over fifty years now!
Shredder: $125, 12 lbs., 2 GE. The shredder is a lightweight collapsible tyre spike shredder which is attached to a cable which the user holds. When deployed, the user throws it across the road, and (hopefully) under the wheels of a passing car. The shredder has only a half inch deployment range (which is a quarter inch wide), but the slinging cable also has a half inch of slack, making the total range of the device one inch, or 15'. When being deployed, the user must have both hands free, and rolls a d6. On a 1-4 the device was deployed successfully where desired, and on a 5-6, the device was failed, and must be retrieved to be used again. The shredder does 1D tyre damage, half to solid or plasticore tyres. It takes five seconds to get the shredder wound back up to be able to be thrown again.
