Excel Record Sheets

The following are record sheets created in Excel by Eric Edwards.

These are a quicker way to generate 'Mechs and work in the following way. You fill in the Mech Data sheet (putting all tonnages in column D, and all other data (movement rates and the like) in column B). This will then tell you what values you have for your armour and internal structure, and then using Excels bordering function, you can border the armour and internal structure of your 'Mech. It's all incredibly simple and quick too.

Remember: When filling in these sheets, each item of equipment must fit into the critical slots on the sheet (inside of the thickly bordered areas) and each critical slot takes up 2 of the small grey internal squares. You cannot put equipment anyway with the internal area, it must fit within the critical areas.
Please check out the rules clarification regarding the assigning of equipment to critical slots.

Because these Excel sheets are easier and quicker to fill out than the standard PDF files, they are going to become the de facto record sheet for all 'Mechs found on this site. You can download the completed sheets from the various Technical Readout section.

For those who don't own Microsoft Office, rest assured that Microsoft do have Free Excel Viewers available for download on their website, so you don't need to buy additional software to be able to view these sheets.

Note: If you had downloaded any Excel sheets before September 2004, please discard them and download them again. The early sheets had a lot of critical errors which have now been corrected.
